A Day at the Beach

We spent the day with Amy in Elk River and Micah got to wear her new swimming suit at the beach. They had a playground next to the parking lot and Micah was so excited just to play there. We had to convince her that better things awaited her! Once we got to the water she had so much fun. Thankfully Amy was there because Mommy is not very fun these days with the big ole belly! We had a picnic, played in the water, made sand castles, watched the boats come and go and got icecream on our way back to Amy's house. Micah LOVED it all!

Any time Amy and Aimee go to the ocean together we spend most of our time kicking waves. We have now passed this down to the next generation but there were no waves so Micah had to kick still water. She didn't care, she loved it!

The big Bay Watch entry! Ready...set...
Go!

At the end of the day Micah was so tired and we were burnt! We left Amy's at about 9:00 PM with sprinkles and as we drove home the sprinkles turned to big raindrops that was accompanied by strong wind. The further we got home the harder it rained and the harder the wind blew. Soon it was thundering and lightening and as soon as we hit the road construction part of the route my gas light came on. It was a really scary trip but we arrived home safely.

When we got home Michael told us that the storm was moving the exact same route as us at the exact same speed. He said it was scheduled to hit Woodbury at 10:01 PM. I looked at my watch to see that the time was indeed 10:01 PM right as a huge crash of thunder shook the house! What a dramatic ending to a very fun day...oh, Micah slept through it all!
