The Long Goodbye

After we packed up the truck Aimee's family stayed to hang out for the last time. It was pretty sad because there was very little left in the house. We sat around and talked for a long time and Micah went around to each Aunt or Uncle and posed for pictures.

One day Micah wanted to take a bath with her doll Baby Julie (She named her). It was a grand time but Baby Julie got water in her and Mommy could not get it out. When Aimee told Michael he did the most logical thing, he took Baby Julie's head off right in front of Micah. Aimee was waiting for this big dramatic outburst because Micah's favorite doll just lost her head but instead our daughter busts a gut! She thought it was hilarious and brought over another doll and said, "Daddy, head off!" We did not take anymore heads off dolls and Baby Julie got put back together but when Aunt Julie came Micah wanted to show her how Baby Julie's head came off. Here is Micah with the head.

After sitting around for awhile we all decided to go get something to eat and then we would all go our separate ways. After supper no one wanted to say goodbye so they came back to the house again. Micah loves to "Cheers!" with her glass so she had to "Cheers!" everyone.

The very large woman is Aimee with her big belly and swollen feet. Micah does a good job covering up a lot of it!

Finally it was time for everyone to leave. Micah made her rounds again giving her last hugs!




After this very moving moment they just couldn't let us go so they all decided to come back on Sunday for lunch. We had to go through the whole process all over again but that time we didn't get it on camera.
