The Hair Cut!

Well it was bound to happen, I guess, but we were hoping it would never happen to our kid...that's right, Micah cut her hair!!!

No one actually saw it but what we figure happened is that Micah was playing with her cousins and found one of their scissors. It is unclear if she cut off a ponytail or if she just took chunks out. Aimee saw the first clump on the ground outside. She was confused as to what it was until she heard Micah walk over to it and say, "Micah hair!" After looking up in total disbelief Aimee saw the back of Micah's head and saw more hair falling off. They ran inside and retraced her steps and found little clumps all over the playroom. At first Aimee thought it would just grow out. She was in total denial that anyone would ever notice. But after several days it was obvious that something needed to be done! We decided to take Micah to get a "hair tut" which she was very excited about. Aimee took it harder than anyone else because she was worried Micah would lose her beautiful curls. But as pretty as those curls were the rest of the hair looked rather lopsided! There are no kid's haircut places here in Salt Lake so we just went to Super Cuts!

You can't see it very well but those are little sprouts at the top of her head.

The lady that cut her hair was wonderful and Micah sat very still for the whole event!

Taryn sat at the sink and slept the whole time! And here is the finished product...pretty cute! And those curls are still there!Micah loved it and wanted to go get her "hair tut" again!
Oh yeah, I know I am cute!
