The Schutz Family: Week Six

Taryn is now legal...at the daycare at least! She is 6 weeks old now and smiling like crazy! She coos and tells stories and will study something very carefully. She is holding her head up so well and can turn and look at what is around her.

This week Micah was “watching” baby Taryn and came running in very excitedly to tell Aimee something about moving a paci and sharing fishy crackers. At first Aimee wasn’t putting it together but then all the sudden it hit her what she was talking about. Aimee ran into where Taryn was and sure enough her paci was next to her and there was a fishy cracker in Taryn’s mouth! Aimee did freak out but did not yell at her. She thought she was doing a good thing but the rest of the night we repeated the phrase, “We don’t give baby Taryn food!” which came out of Micah’s mouth as “No Baby Taryt tood!” We are working on being gentle with Taryn but she really does love her. One day she walked up to Taryn and said, "Hi tootie (cutie)! "

Micah is having a better time at school now. She doesn't get excited for it yet but she does have fun once she is there. She will stop by Aimee's room to wave at her and the babies but then she goes running off to her classroom instead of standing and tearing up. The linger time at Aimee's door is getting shorter each time. Potty training is still a work in progress but at school she does really well. We are not sure why when we get home she forgets everything but we press on!

We swore we would never be the parent who took a gazillion pictures of baby #1 and then none of the next babies and so far we are doing pretty well. It is hard to take enough pictures of each child by themselves plus pictures of them together. This week the pictures were a little on the slim side because we are all back to work/school. Last Sunday Aimee was so excited to take pictures of Taryn wearing an adorable duck dress and sweater that Micah got from Michael's Aunt Heidi. Before the camera came out Taryn barfed all over it and then had a blow out and it was covered in poo. We didn't think you wanted to see that! Here are some pictures we think you will enjoy!
